Betty White is immortal.

If you were a fan of The Golden Girls, which aired on NBC from 1985 to 1992 for a total of 180 episodes, you may not realize just how old the stars of the show really are.

For example, Beatrice Arthur who played Maude Findlay, died back in April 2009 at the age of 86.

Rue McClanahan who played Blanche Devereaux, died in June 2010 at the age of 76.

Estelle Getty who played Sophia Petrillo died in July 2008 at 84.

If you're keeping track, you'd know that Betty White is the only Golden Girl that has yet to bite the dust. And surprisingly, no dust or biting is visible anytime soon.

Why? Because Betty White is 89 YEARS OLD! 89! And she's quickly approaching her 90th birthday, coming on January 17th. She was born in 1922.

Surprisingly, Betty has appeared on television and the big screen over 100 times, and she has been active in the entertainment world since 1939! That's 62 years!

The actress has won 5 Emmy Awards (nominated for 17) and has been nominated for a total of 48 awards, winning 23 of them. She's had no major health issues, ever.

Sounds to me like she's a vampire, and immortal - and amazing.

"You Just Got Mugged!" Season 3 may be final season

Matthew LaVernon said in an interview today that the third and upcoming season of You Just Got Mugged! would likely be the final season, saying, "I don't think Shocking Autumn will be interested in a fourth season. I think they want to end the series after Season 3 and start fresh." However, he denies rumors that he wants to leave the show. "I don't want to leave or cancel [the show]," he said, "As long as viewers and fans are still watching and enjoying it, I'll keep going, but I just don't know if [Shocking Autumn Studios is] fully interested in a continuation."

Shocking Autumn Studios issued a statement a few hours later, saying, "We are still fully committed to the series, but we would like to focus on the third season and upcoming film, as well as our other projects, at this time."

Series, "You Just Got Mugged!" returns for a 3rd season

TORONTO - Hit online miniseries, You Just Got Mugged, which premiered on April 7, 2011 and is currently about to wrap up it's second season and move on to a spin-off film, due out in February, has reportedly been renewed for a third season.

Information about a third season of the series issued on Friday, when Shocking Autumn Studios, the studio that co-produces the series along with series creator Matthew LaVernon, announced that they would issue a press release on November 19, 2011 concerning the future of the series. Around 6 pm Toronto time today, a paragraph of the press release leaked onto the internet, confirming that the series would be returning for a third season. The press release is presumably legitimate, as it features signatures from LaVernon, along with Shocking Autumn executive, Robert Kents and president, James Hurkoy. A digital copy of the full press release was scheduled to be released on Saturday at 11 am Toronto time on Shocking Autumn's official Tumblr account, however Shocking Autumn Studios pulled the release from their site's queue immediately after learning that the document had leaked. Speculation continues, while the renewal has already been confirmed.

"Since the press release has already been leaked, I might as well announce it," LaVernon tweeted at 7:15 Monday evening, "You Just Got Mugged has been renewed for a third season."

LaVernon's tweet was immediately followed by Shocking Autumn Studios official release of the document at 7:23. The full document states, "We are extremely excited to announce that You Just Got Mugged! has been renewed for a third season. We are thankful for the contributions from our team and the dedication we have received from viewers that help continue to make the series a unique, incredible experience and we are fully committed to assuring that the series will maintain it’s humor and charm with these upcoming episodes. Information on air dates and episodes will be announced in the near future, when they become available."

The three coffee mugs that the series revolves around; Jon, Sheena, and Billy will appear in the film spin-off of You Just Got Mugged: The Movie, which is currently being filmed in Los Angeles. The film will be released on February 6, 2012.

Tim Hortons Latte Review

Today, Canadian coffee-giant Tim Hortons officially added Lattes to their menu in Ontario stores. The lattes, which are priced at $2 for a 10 oz medium, come in the trademark brown Tim Hortons paper cup, and have one of those lids where it's just a little slot for you to drink out of instead of that annoying brown lid where you have to push back the thing and it never seems to stay down. Of course, the lattes come in several different flavours (the same flavours that the Tim Hortons Hot Smoothees are served in) including Caramel, French Vanilla, and my personal favorite - Hazelnut.

For some stupid reason because I wasn't paying attention when I ordered it, I bought a French Vanilla instead of Hazelnut. But to be honest, the flavour shot isn't very strong anyway in the lattes, so it doesn't make that much of a difference.

While the new fancy drinks have received some lukewarm reviews from avid Starbucks drinkers, I disagree. Personally, I hate Starbucks, I think they're drinks are bitter and too complex, which is why I was really surprised with the simplicity, and deliciousness of the new lattes at Tim's.

When I first took a sip of the latte, I wasn't very impressed, but then I decided to stir it and add a little bit of sugar (there was already some sugar in it but Tim Hortons seems to constantly forget to stir my coffee) and it made all the difference.

Even if you are a Starbucks fan, or just a coffee lover in general, I would reccommend checking the new Timmies latte out, because those $4 dollar Starbucks lattes are just ripping money out of your pocket, and you'll be saving $2 just by switching to Tim's.

Overall Rating of Tim's French Vanilla latte: 8.5/10

PTC is stupid

The Parents Television Council has been freaking out and voicing their irrelevant opinions and fining television networks since 1995. On their website, the PTC states that their mission is to "promote and restore responsibility and decency to the entertainment industry in answer to America's demand for positive, family-oriented television programming." I really do feel sorry for the idiots that run this organization, because for some reason they feel that if a television program is rated 14+ and has a viewer discretion advisory notice before the broadcast, it still needs to be "decent". They also file complaints against networks when they use words like "fuck".

I don't even know where to begin in this rant. First of all, PTC says that they're mission is to make sure television programming is "family oriented" even though families don't even watch these programs together, and the programs are targeted and promoted to adult audiences. I don't think there is/should be a law about profane words and content on television in the United States, and if the programs are being targeted to adults and include a 14+ rating in that little black box that shows up in the corner, then what else does FTC want the networks to do? It seems as if you can't watch anything these days without there being something bleeped out. When is PTC going to realize that this is just the world and that these children go to school and live in the real world - in reality, children know what profane words are not just from television (because television doesn't affect children's words and behaviour at all) and god dammit, they here the profane words from their parents and adults themselves. I think their parents and peers have a much bigger influence on the children than a dirty television program. Does PTC think that the thought that the world is full of rainbows and butterflies and fantasies and dreams exist should be maintained in Children's heads? If kids had more profanity and inappropriate things in their life, they would accept it and it wouldn't affect them at all, but no, PTC has to make sure that they sugar coat everything.

All in all, the PTC are a bunch of senseless, cotton candy-headed, nosy morons that need to mind their own business and put their efforts and money in more important things, and not just the profane word that a 10-year-old kid heard on television last Sunday, that they completely ignored because they hear it all the time in school.

Here's a place to put your money and stupid efforts, PTC: To the Red Cross, who try to help out children that don't have television, in the first place. I'm sure they need your money a whole lot than a bunch of stupid, overprotective crap organizations that you're wasting all your money on.

PTC, grow up and get a life.

UPDATE: Bieber to take paternity test, results to be issued December 15

Justin Bieber has agreed to take a paternity test to end the rumors that stated that he fathered the child of Mariah Yeater. Bieber claims that if the paternity tests come back negative, he will seek legal action of his own against Yeater.

As we recently reported earlier this month, 20-year-old Yeater claims that Bieber allegedly impregnated her back in October 2010 in an arena bathroom at the Staples Center, when he had been performing there. Yeater is seeking child support and demanding a paternity test.

Bieber is scheduled to take a paternity test soon and will have it submitted to a lab in two weeks, to end the rumors once and for all. Bieber called the rumors "crap" last night, as he accepted an MTV European Music Award, saying "There's been a lot of crap on the Internet lately, but I've pulled through it."

If things go as planned, we should have the real answer on December 15. Until then, feel free to speculate and voice your opinions in our comment box. Also, if you're tweeting about the allegations, add the hashtag #FirstStopBabyMama so we can read about your opinions.

The Verdict is in: Dr. Conrad Murray found guilty of involuntary manslaughter

Just moments ago, Dr. Conrad Murray (Michael Jackson's private doctor) was proclaimed guilty of involuntary manslaughter for Jackson's June 2009 death.

Jackson's sister, LaToya Jackson screamed out immediately upon hearing the 1:17pm (PDT) verdict, while Jackson fans celebrated the vedict outside of the courtroom. All of the 12 jurors had agreed with the verdict. The 58-year-old doctor is scheduled to be sentenced on November 29th, and could face up to four years in prison. He could also lose his medical license. The prosecution ordered Murray to be taken into custody immediately.

Jackson had been suffering insomnia, and Murray proceeded to give him doses of anesthetic propofol (which is not supposed to be used outside of operation/surgery rooms) as well as some other sedatives to Jackson as he was unable to sleep to prepare for his upcoming final concert tour, This Is It. Murray's lawyers originally stated that Jackson had given himself a dose of the propofol while Murray wasn't looking making Jackson responsible for his own death, however this theory was dismissed by a prosecution expert. Murray stated that he had formed a close friendship with the 50-year-old pop singer, and never intended to harm him.

Jackson was found dead in bed at his rented California mansion on July 25, 2009, and was expected to have died during the night. Jackson had searched for a doctor that would agree to give him the propofol, as he was deeply craving sleep, and other medical professionals turned him down. For six weeks, Murray gave Jackson a nightly dose of propofol, but became reluctant to give him the medication eventually, fearing that Jackson had become addicted to the drug. The night of his death, Murray gave Jackson a small dose of the drug (25 milligrams) which seemed to put the singer to sleep. Murray left Jackson's bedside for a few moments. When he returned, Jackson was already dead.

If you're still on Murray's side, this will be the part where you'll switch sides: When Murray found Jackson unconscious, he proceeded to perform CPR on Jackson's bed, instead of on the firm floor. When Jackson did not respond, Murray proceeded to hide and pack up the medicine bottles and IV equipment and nervously made several calls on his mobile phone, before calling emergency services.

Authorities never accused Murray of intending to kill the star, and it took eight months for authorities to file the involuntary manslaughter charges against Murray. The authorities stated that giving Jackson the doses of propofol was a terrible idea, as Murray had been lacking lifesaving equipment, which led to the disastrous tragedy of Jackson's death.

As for the mystery of what happened behind the closed doors of Jackson's bedroom on that day - we will probably never know.

"Paranormal Activity 3" Review

Today, we are reviewing Paranormal Activity 3, the third installment in the Paranormal Activity series.

While most horror sequels (and sequels in general) seem to be worse then the originals, this film is an exception. Honestly, I have never understood all the hype surrounding the first film - sure, the first was good, but it didn't have me jumping out of my seat and laughing at how scared I was as many times as I had hoped it would.

Paranormal Activity 3 is a haunted house thrill ride delight, and the film manages to still be outstanding without using the creepy, cheesy background music that most horror films are plagued with. With exceptional acting, and tons of thrills and jolts, the film is undeniably the best in the series, and some would even go as far as to say that it's the best horror film of the year.

However, we are dissapointed that the film did not include several of the scenes that appeared in the trailer in the film. This includes pretty much the entire first 40 seconds of the original trailer. What was really dissapointing - the Bloody Mary scene between the 2 girls in the trailer that made up about half of the trailer for the 3rd film didn't even appear in the film. So really, about 5 seconds of the footage from the trailer actually appeared in the film.

RATING:
Acting: 8/10
Plot: 7/10

Overall rating: 7/10

Justin Bieber: Baby Daddy?

17-year old Canadian singer/songwriter Justin Bieber is currently facing a Paternity lawsuit from 20-year-old Mariah Yeater. Yeater and her lawyers, Lance Rogers and Matthew Pare claim that Bieber had some sort of sexual contact with Yeater last October when Bieber performed at the Staples Center. Yeater is apparently not seeking the spotlight or an unreasonable amount of money; all she would like is a modest sum for child support.

While Yeater is suing Bieber, it appears that if the claims are true (which they're obviously not), Yeater could also face charges of statutory rape, because Yeater would have been 19 and Bieber would have been 16, last October during the "incident".

Bieber's party claims they have not seen the lawsuit, however is "sad" that Yeater would fabricate such "malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims."

Bieber, himself took to Twitter to address the issues, tweeting to his 13 million twitter followers saying, "All the rumors...the gossip...Im [Sic] gonna focus on the positives...the music."

And of course, millions of Bieber fans have taken to Twitter to address their irrelevant thoughts on the claims, with one fan tweeting "Roses are red, violets are blue mariah yeater we are gunna kill you. [Sic]"

What do you think about the claims? You'd be surprised by how many people think they're true, but what's your opinion?

"Not Like The Movies" Review

Today, we are doing a completely random review of Katy Perry's song, Not Like The Movies because we can, and that's all you need to know.

The number one reason (and really the only reason) that we're reviewing this at such a strange date (1 year after the song's initial release) is because we weren't operating back in 2010 at the song's release and were therefore obviously unable to review it.

The second reason is because it's 1:00 in the morning and we're tired.

There's a cute little story behind the writing of the song, about how Katy started writing the song after her debut tour in 2009, promoting One of the Boys. Katy considers the song to be a "2-part song" as she set the song aside for a while, and was finally able to finish it once she began dating her then-boyfriend, now-husband  Russell Brand. Katy said it's a very special song for her because she expressed a lot in the track, a lot of things that she needed to let out.

While Katy is likely known for her upbeat, party pop songs like California Gurls and Teenage Dream, this song is one of her slower, ballad songs where she discusses some great topics and reaches some great notes in the lyrics and words.

Probably one of Katy's best songs, we give this song a rating of 9.7/10, and not just because it's one of the cutest songs we've ever heard. Seriously, this song is epic, it's a little similar to The One That Got Away.

2011: Bingemans Screampark Review

Today, we are reviewing the acclaimed "scariest, most haunted Halloween attraction in all of Canada" - the Bingemans Screampark, located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, about 1 hour from Toronto.

The haunted park consists of 6 attractions: Quarantine, Grindhouse, Soul Asylum, Clown Cage (all 4 of which are Haunted Houses for you to walk through) Zombie Hunt (a paintball game where you get to shoot zombies), and finally - The Last Ride (we're not exactly sure what this is because we refuse to do it because we're all extremely claustrophobic). The Triple House Pass (which gains you access to Quarantine, Grindhouse, Soul Asylum, plus bonus admission to Clown Cage) is $26 per person, which is a deal considering purchasing a pass to just 1 house is $12. The only way you can access Clown Cage is with the Triple House Pass, and the $26 is a very good deal as the 4 attractions are very pleasing. Zombie Hunt is an additional $15 and The Last Ride is an additional $5. Therefore, you would be able to do all 6 attractions for a total of $46 per person.

Soul Asylum: The first house we went into was Soul Asylum. The line was fairly short, maybe about 10 minutes. (However Bingemans offers a $5 VIP pass that lets you skip the lines and go right in). According to Screampark's website, this attraction follows the story of a devil being unleashed and is now trying to collect as many souls as possible. The attraction begins outside, where you must walk down a narrow, outdoor corridor, where a wooden fence stands on one side, and a black curtain stands on the other. As you continue, you become paranoid that something will behind one of the corners, however nothing appears. While you walk, you hear a dark voice talking to you, and someone bangs several times on the curtain. Eventually, a man will begin literally chasing you through a series of confusing corridors, and he then tells you to go up a set of stairs to visit "the boogeyman". He chases you up the steps and you go inside, where there are a series of actors and creepy ornaments that will jump out and startle you. Eventually, you will walk through a dark hallway where many strobe lights are flashing, and even though you're probably walking quite slowly, it gives the illusion that you are almost floating through the hallway. You continue to go through the darkness, until you reach the exit door. This was likely the best house that we went through, and we give it a rating of 9/10.

Grindhouse: The second attraction we went through had a line of about 35 minutes. This attraction again starts outside, and you run into 1 person outside, who orders you to go into a small-looking shed, which you must climb a few steps to get to. (Be aware that although the shed looks very small from the outside, once you get in it actually feels rather large). As you walk through, you hear a chainsaw and a man laughing outside of the shed, and you eventually end up walking onto a red and white striped floor. Be aware as you step onto the floor that the floor will move rapidly, so be sure to grab onto the rail and walk slowly and carefully. You are eventually led out of the shed, where a man chases you with a chainsaw to the exit. We give this house a rating of 8/10.

Quarantine: When we came back for our second night, we started off with Quarantine. This attraction runs through the building where the Bingemans Water Park change rooms are located, and the majority of the house is inside. Equipped with 2 corridors of strobe lights, a creepy Grudge-looking girl who crawls on the floor and follows you, and some strange props and actors, this house was creepy - but it didn't meet our expectations after we had gone through the other 2 houses. The house is full of zombies and some creepy medical props, and follows the story of a virus breaking out. Your "mission" is to get through the house without being turned into a zombie, or worse - being trapped in the quarantined area forever. Be sure to go in Quarantine - because, we promise you, it's scary -  but we're just not sure if it's the best house there. We give this house a rating of 7/10

Clown Cage: The final house that we went into wasn't impressive. Throughout the entire house, there's only 2 things to keep you creeped out: grungy clown music and the adrenaline of trying to get through a confusing maze while an annoying strobe light flashes in your face the entire way through and makes you feel nauseous. The entire maze consists of you pushing walls to find out whether it's a wall or a door, and a terrible strobe light that could easily cause you a seizure if you are prone to them. There's no actors, no props - no nothing. Just a maze. A disappointing, confusing maze. But just to feel safe, we would recommend bringing a cell phone with you through the maze. You probably won't need it, but just in case you get stuck and no one can here you screaming for help. Bingemans' doesn't even give a description of this house on their website, likely because they think that if people know what the house is like - no one will want to go in it. We can easily tell why this maze was free and why there was absolutely no line for this particular house. Unless you like mazes, this isn't a good house to go in. We give this house a rating of 2/10.

Zombie Hunt: We are still debating over whether or not we will be participating in this attraction. This attraction is an additional $15 per person.

The Last Ride: We will not be participating in this attraction because we are all extremely claustrophobic. This attraction is an additional $5 per person.

PREPARE FOR GOING TO BINGEMANS SCREAMPARK: Dress warm and bring a rainjacket or wear a coat/sweater that absorbs water easily because you will be waiting outside in line and if it's raining, you will get wet and since it's October, you will get cold. You can bring an umbrella so you can wait, but it'd be kind of annoying trying to carry an umbrella through the attractions, even if the umbrella is closed. Don't bring valuable items that you can't risk loosing, because it will be dark in the attractions, and Bingemans is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Don't go if you are easily frightened or if you have a history of seizures or a heart condition. There are absolutely no refunds once you've purchased your tickets. Bingemans does not reccommend children under the age of 12 to go in, but there is no age limit or minimum as long as you are in good health and aren't scared easily. Only 5 people are allowed into an attraction at the same time, so if you have a group that has 6 or more people you will need to split your group up so that 5 or less people are going in at the same time, or some people(s) will have to go with another group. Be prepared to wait in line for long periods of time (up to an hour). If you don't wish to wait in lines, go on a weeknight instead of a Friday or Saturday. Screampark is open October 18-23, and October 25-31. The park's hours will be different depending if you go on a weeknight or a weekend night - the park will open at 7:00 and will close at either 10:00 or 12:00 (midnight). There are Emergency and "Chicken Exits" throughout the attractions incase there is an emergency in your group or in the attraction, or if someone is too scared to finish. Admission is $12 for one house, or $26 for the Triple House Pass, which gives you admission to 4 houses (so you're actually saving money and getting a great deal by buying the Triple House Pass). Admission to The Last Ride and Zombie Hunt are sold seperate. The Last Ride admission is free with purchase of a Bingemans Screampark t-shirt. Tickets are sold online and at the park. Bingemans does not take responsibility for the prolonged effects that Screampark may invoke. Please visit the Bingemans Screampark website for more info: http://www.screampark.ca/

Apple and the public respond to Steve Jobs' death

The world has just got a little darker, losing a man who made it a whole lot brighter.

Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, Inc. and former-CEO of Apple has passed away at the age of 56. Jobs died peacefully in his home after a long battle of pancreatic cancer. Jobs' tragic death was announced Wednesday by Apple. The following message was posted on Apple's website: We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today. Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.

The public has clearly been shocked by the sudden death. Thousands of people and celebrities all over the world took to twitter to pay their respects.

"Thanks to one of your inventions my life was changed," tweeted Justin Bieber.

"So sad to hear about Steve Jobs," tweeted Demi Lovato, "[He was] A brilliant man. RIP."

For a large majority of Wednesday night, RIP Steve Jobs was a trending topic on Twitter.

"10 years ago, we had Steve Jobs, Bob Hope, and Johnny Cash. Now, we have no Jobs, no Hope, and no Cash" was a popular tweet and retweet.

When Jobs resigned from CEO of Apple back in August, he reportedly left the company with four years of product ideas. The Huffington Post and the Wall Street Journal are reporting that Jobs' private funeral was held, today. Sony Pictures has reportedly purchased movie rights to a new Steve Jobs biography.

We are truly saddened by the loss of such an amazing, intelligent man that contributed so much to the world of technology, and to the world as a whole. He will be missed, but surely not forgotten.

"The Secret Circle" Review

Today, we are reviewing the series premiere episode of The Secret Circle, the newest series on the CW.

The series, which stars Britt Robertson and Thomas Dekker is based on the book series of the same name, which is written by J.L. Smith, who is also the author of The Vampire Diaries book series, which has also been turned into a CW show.

The Secret Circle is set in the fictional town of Chance Harbor, Washington and follows a teenager named Cassie who learns that she comes from a family of witches. Cassie lost her mother in what she believes is an accident, leaving her an orphan. Cassie quickly meets friends at her new school, and she finds out the secret of her family's history and the history of the town's witches. But, Cassie finds an old back which has another secret in it: her mother's death may not have been an accident.

While most people would find the plot geeky and Twilight-like, the series premiere was incredible. The series contains traits of Drama, Supernatural drama, Horror, and Romance, making it suitable for all audiences.

While the premiere episode didn't contain some of the best performances from some of the actors, it's definetly a great premise, and if you haven't - you should definetly check out the premiere episode.

Sarah Michelle Gellar "Ringer" Review

Today, we're reviewing the series premiere of the new CW series, Ringer, which marks Gellar's first return to TV since Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.

The show follows... well it's kind of a long story so we're not gonna bother explaining it.

All and all, the show included some great performances, and the plot definetly has some potential. We don't know where the CW will take it, but we're excited to find out.

The only thing is that the show is a little confusing, but the network claims that we will learn new information throughout the show's run.

'Final Destination 5' Review

Today, we're reviewing Final Destination 5, the newest installment to the Final Destination film franchise.

The plot of the film is the exact same as the previous ones, so we're not going to bother providing you a plot.

Some people may call this installment the best in the series, some may call it the worst in the series. We personally think it was alright, but it's still just one of those violent, slasher, gory movies. That's basically the only reason why people want to see the films, but we personally think that the acting was very good, and probably better than any of the acting in the previous films, and there's a huge twist on this installment that will try to keep things fresh.

But it's still the exact same movie that we've seen five times now, but we give the screenwriters credit for trying to spice it up a little with the twist.

RATINGS:

Acting: 8/10
Special Effects: 6.5/10
Plot: 5.5/10

9/11 Anniversary Threat

The world and the media are really confusing us right now.

According to a press conference, there is no 'credible' 9/11 anniversary threat against the United States, linked to the 10th anniversary of the September 11th, 2011 attacks, however the country is under 'heightened' vigilance, a top security official said, today.

On 9/11, over 3,000 people were killed in attacks on the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and Shanksville and now the country is taking the necesscary precautions to make sure it doesn't happen again.

U.S. Security is expected to be tight this Sunday, when President Barack Obama will attend ceremonies at the three attack locations.

So, basically, the government says there are no legitimate threats, but they just want to make sure that their nightmares don't come true. We understand why they're doing this, but we just hope the anniversary isn't spent by people being worried about another attack, instead of remembering the thousands of people who lost their lives on that tragic day.

We'll keep you updated.

Update: Press conference happening now.

Update: Specific, credible, but unconfirmed threat. Government asks people to stay vigilant. Government taking extra precautions.

Update: Call 311 if you see anything suspicious, call 911 if you see anything dangerous. Video teleconference to take place Friday morning. "See something, say something."

Why "So Random!" will be cancelled

When Demi Lovato announced she was quitting Sonny with a Chance, Disney Channel scrambled to turn the show-within-a-show 'So Random!' into it's own show. After nearly six months of production, the new series premiered on June 5, 2011. With six episodes aired already, and a seventh episode set to air this Sunday, views and ratings have already plummeted. The most recent episode, which aired on July 17 went as low as just 2.7 million views. This was an all-time low for the series, and we're only six episodes in. We can easily tell that this series won't be back for a second season. Other shows that have been cancelled on Disney, like JONAS L.A. for example, had an all-time low of 2.8 million, which is still 100,000 more than the all time low for So Random!. Plus, despite the fact that no one's watching the show, it's just an unfunny show. Other critics have said it, and I'll say it, too: Without Demi, the show is nothing. The show also costs a lot of money to produce, considering only 13 episodes were ordered  for the first season, and it must cost an awful lot of money to get stars like Cody Simpson, Greyson Chance, Tony Hawk, and Selena Gomez to guest star. If nobody's watching, the ratings are down, and the production costs are up, than a cancellation is almost unavoidable. It won't be any more than 2 months before Disney pulls the plug on the show. And that's not a so random estimate.

Amy Winehouse Autopsy Inconclusive

It could be several more weeks before we find out the cause of Amy Winehouse's death. Police announced today that yesterday's initial autopsy was inconclusive, and additional toxicology tests were needed. According to The Assosciated Press, those toxicology screens could take two to four weeks to complete. Winehouse was found dead in bed at her Camden, England apartment on Saturday afternoon, and initial reports indicate that no drugs were found on the flat. Winehouse attended a doctor's appointment on Friday, and the doctor found no problems and was happy with her condition, but she was dead hours later. Amy had been reportedly been working on her third album at the time of her death, and she had supposedly recorded several new songs; songs that may never be heard. Winehouse's funeral has been scheduled for tomorrow.

"Cyrus" Review

Today, we're reviewing the newest film to hit DVD and Blu-Ray, Cyrus.

This comedy-drama film which stars John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill, and Marisa Tomei follows an interesting-made-boring plot about 2 men: a boyfriend and a son, trying to win a woman's affection. Although the film does include some kind-of-good performances, the acting is so covered up with stupidness, it's gotten to a point where we forgot that there are actually a-list actors in this movie. Blantly unfunny, and stupidly boring, the film is annoying and unhonest, and seems like an actual funny short film that has been stretched out so much that we barely even remember what the plot was about, by the time the credits roll. This film doesn't meet it's full potential, and seems like much more of a drama film than a comedy film. The only thing funny about this movie is how bad it was.

RATINGS:
Comedy: 0.1/10
Drama: 2/10
Acting: 2.5/10
Plot: 2.5/10

Overall rating: 1.5/10

"Mr. Popper's Penguins" Review

Today, we are reviewing the newest Jim Carrey film to hit theatres, Mr. Popper's Penguins.

The family comedy film, which stars Jim Carrey, Carla Gugino, Madeline Carroll, Maxwell Perry Cotton, and Ophelia Lovibond follows the story of Tom Popper, a divorced realtor who's dead father sends six penguins to his New York apartment. Tom plans to send the penguins to the zoo, but when his children fall in love with him, and him, his kids, and his ex-wife begin reconnecting because of the penguins, he decides to turn his apartment into a home for the penguins.

With a charming plot and some good performances, the film is good for all audiences - but that doesn't hide the fact that the film is thoroughly predictable, but, it's a family comedy movie - and that's exactly what they gave us: family comedy, but not much else.

RATINGS:
Acting: 6/10
Plot: 6/10
Charm: 7.5/10

Overall rating: 6.8/10

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, which was released globally just 2 days ago is smashing box office records, globally. The eighth and final installment of the series, Part 2 grossed $475.6 million worldwide during opening weekend, smashing the previous record of $394 million during opening weekend, which was achieved by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince back in 2009. Part 2 has also broke the record for the biggest opening day gross in history, in Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, and United Kingdom. With a foreign opening weekend of $307 million, Part 2 broke the previous record held by Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides of $262 million.

It has also broke several U.S./Canadian records: biggest opening weekend in history, biggest opening weekend during the month of July, biggest opening weekend during the Summer, biggest opening weekend for PG-13 movie, biggest opening weekend for IMAX, biggest opening day in history, biggest opening day on a Friday in history, widest 3D launch in history, highest gross in advanced ticket sales in history, biggest midnight release in history, biggest IMAX midnight release in history, biggest 3-day gross in history, fastest to $100 million in U.S. and Canada sales only (2 days), fastest to $150 million in U.S. and Canada sales only (3 days), biggest international opening weekend, biggest foreign opening weekend, and biggest 3 day UK weekend gross. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" Review

Today, we are reviewing "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2", the eighth and final film in the record-breaking film series.

This epic fantasy film, directed by David Yates and produced by David Heyman, David Barron, and J.K. Rowling continues Harry, Ron, and Hermione's quest to bring down Lord Voldemort, once and for all.

This 130-minute-long film stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson and is packed full of incredible special effects and captivating acting, bringing the hit series to a spectacular, spell-binding close.

With dazzling visual effects, powerful acting, and incredibly thrilling, Deathly Hallows Part 2 is without a doubt the best installment in the series. This film is brushed with gorgeous tones and includes a terrifying showdown. This is iconic, monumental cinema, and those epic 3D effects remind us why we love going to the movies in the first place. Director David Yates brings the franchise to a genuinely amazing ending, and mark my words - Part 2 will become the most discussed and praised film of the year. The entire cast and crew brings the ground-breaking saga to a truly magical ending.

Special Effects: 9.7/10
Acting: 9.6/10
Storyline: 9.6/10

"Insidious" Review

Today, we are reviewing "Insidious" which is from the creators of "SAW" and "Paranormal Activity".

This supernatural horror film, directed by James Wan (director of the 'SAW' series) and produced by Oren Peli (director/producer of the 'Paranormal Activity' series) focuses on - well, it's complicated. Basically, a family of five moves into a new home, one of the kids slips into 'a coma' after falling from a ladder and hitting his head, but the parents soon discover that he is not in a coma, but he has left his body (astral projection/out of body of experience) and has been taken to 'the further' and a demon is trying to take over his body, so that the demon can cause pain to others.

This 100 minute long movie stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, and Lin Shaye. The film had ourselves covering our eyes at some points, but also giggling over parts of the film that weren't very good. With kind-of good acting, some pretty cool special effects, some jumpy sound effects, and a well-thought-out plot, the film still doesn't seem to meet it's full potential. Granted, any movie-goers will get what they bargained for.

RATINGS:
Special Effects: 6.5/10
Acting: 7/10
Storyline: 7.5/10
Scariness: 7.5/10

Overall mark: 7/10

Demi Lovato "Skyscraper" Review

Today we are reviewing Demi Lovato's new single off her upcoming third studio album. The song is called Skyscraper and was released, yesterday.

So, the song is just over 3 and a half minutes long, and tells a story of self-empowerment and redemption, with truly emotional lyrics such as 'Do you have to make me feel like there's nothing left of me' and 'Would it make you feel better to watch me while I bleed', and then picks up with very powerful, inspirational words including 'All my windows are broken but I'm standing on my feet' and 'It's a long way down but I'm closer to the clouds up here'.

The song starts off slow, and builds to a strong, upbeat climax, marking the ending of a vocal masterpiece. Mainstream tunes have been packed with songs about self-empowerment, lately, but Lovato has been the only artist yet to bring the theme to such a personal, intimate level.

'Skyscraper' is truly an amazing, emotional comeback for the star, and Lovato couldn't have done any better on the track. The song is without a doubt the best song from the singer yet, and the best song we've heard in sometime.

RATINGS:
Demi's Vocals: 10/10
Background Music: 9.5/10
Lyrics: 9.5/10

Overall mark: 9.7/10

Demi Lovato Releases 'Skyscraper'!

After weeks of anticipation and excitement, Demi Lovato has finally released her new single! The single, entitled Skyscraper premiered on 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest' yesterday. Little information about the song has been released, until now, and we have learned that the song was written by Toby Gad, Kerli, and Lindy Robbins. Lovato stated on the interview with Ryan Seacrest that the song was actually recorded before she entered the treatment center, and revealed that she attempted to record the song, again after the 3-month rehabilation stint, but she decided that her vocals on the original version were better, as they were "kind of a cry for help".

Upon the release of the song, several celebrities took to twitter to voice their support, including Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Kelly Clarkson, Pete Wentz, Ashley Tisdale, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Lucy Hale, Brittany Snow, Kerli (who co-wrote the song) as well as Jordin Sparks, who provided background vocals on the song.

A teaser for the official music video for the song, featuring Lovato in a desert was released on YouTube on July 8, and the full music video is scheduled to be released on July 13th at 7PM ET/PT and 11:30PM ET/PT on E! News. The music video was directed by Marc Pellington who has directed several music videos, including One by U2, We're In This Together by Nine-Inch Nails, Lonesome Day and Girls In Their Summer Clothes (Winter Mix) by Bruce Springsteen, Best of You by Foo-Fighters, Syndicate and How To Save a Life by Foo-Fighters, Hold My Hand by Michael Jackson, and Soul Mate by Natasha Bedingfield. 'All My Children', 'One Life to Live' live on... the internet.

All My Children and One Life to Live, the ABC soap operas that were slated for cancellation have found new life on the internet, the network said Thursday.

ABC, which is owned by The Walt Disney Company announced today that it has licensed it's legendary soap operas to to Prospect Park, a production company that plans to distribute the 40-year-old shows over the Web, and internet-connected televisions. The deal has given Prospect Park the rights to the 2 shows more than a decade, and will earn Disney millions of dollars a year, as long as the show is still being produced.

ABC first announced they had cancelled the shows, back in April due to low ratings. The final televised episode of One Life to Live will air on January 20, 2012, and the final televised episode of All My Children will air on September 23, 2011. The shows currently air for one hour, Mondays through Fridays, and Prospect says they plan to air the series at the same format and length, and they are just beginning the process of meeting with actors and other people involved with the shows to see if they will stay on board.

This move has received some negativity from fans and viewers, with people saying the internet screening of the episodes will would exclude viewers who don't use the internet or don't own a computer. Disney nor Prospect Park has commented on these claims.

We'll keep you updated.

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' Premieres in London

The world premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 took place, today in London. This event marks the final premiere for the Harry Potter series, as Deathly Hallows Part 2 will wrap up the record-breaking film franchise, that has enchanted millions for over 10 years.

8,000 fans poured into Trafalgar Square in London to watch the cast and crew of the film make their debut on the red carpet, which was three quarters of a mile long. Among the crowd was Scott Beaudet who flew halfway across the world, from Vancouver, British Columbia to see the red carpet premiere. Beaudet was the first person to be let into the red carpet area at Trafalgar Sqaure, and camped out for 8 nights.

The entire premiere was streamed live on Livestream.com, for nearly 4 hours, and at one point reached over 20,000 viewers.

The star-studded premiere was coined "very, very emotional" by author of the series, J.K. Rowling. Cast members Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint as well as dozens of other cast members signed autographs, met fans, answered questions and posed on the red carpet before heading over to Leicester Square, where the film was screened.

We tuned into the live-stream, and we were crying our eyes out.

The 7 films in the franchise have earned over $6.3 billion in global sales so far, with the total gross expected to exceed $7 billion with the 8th film's release. All 7 films appear on the list of 30 highest-grossing films of all time. The Harry Potter franchise is the highest-earning film franchise of all time, with just seven films - earning more money than the 22 James Bond films and the 6 Star Wars films. The Harry Potter films have so far earned nearly 4x the amount the Twilight series has.

Potter fans haven't seen the last of the stars, though, because after the Harry Potter series, Daniel Radcliffe will star in The Woman in Black, a remake of the 1989 film, scheduled to be released early 2012. Emma Watson will star in My Week with Marilyn, scheduled to be released in November 2011, as well as The Perks of Being a Wallflower, scheduled to be released in 2012. Rupert Grint will star in Comrade, scheduled to be released in 2012.

The new film will be the first to be released in 3D. It is scheduled to hit theatres in Canada and U.S., next Friday.

"It's the end of an era."

Demi Lovato -- "My New Single..."

Demi Lovato has announced details about her new music. Lovato confirmed, Monday that her new single will be called Skyscraper. The song will be Lovato's first single in over a year and a half, and will be off her upcoming third album. Lovato's last album, Here We Go Again was released back in Summer '09, and this will be Lovato's first album since she got out from her treatment center, which she admitted herself into back in October citing "physical and emotional issues" she had been "dealing with for sometime". Lovato checked out of rehab in late January, and almost immediately went into the studio. She announced she would not return to her Disney hit show, Sonny with a Chance in April.

Rumours have circulated that the song will be released on July 19 on iTunes, however Lovato has not stated anything concrete, as of yet. Lovato announced on her twitter account on July 6 that her single is "coming sooner than you think".

#LovatoSingleSkyScraper and #Skyscraper have both been recent Trending Topics on Twitter.

We'll keep you updated on this exciting news.

Charlie Sheen -- New TV Show!

Charlie's character will be an ex-jock who got his master's degree in social work during the offseason.  He becomes a counselor to defendants in the criminal justice system with anger management problems.  But, of course, Charlie's character will have anger issues of his own.

The deal with Lionsgate is reportedly still not done, but the show is in the final stages of negotiations. There is not a deal with any network to air the show, yet.

We'll keep you updated on Charlie Sheen, as well as this soon-to-be-trainwreck.

Charlie Harper Dies Tragic Death

TMZ is reporting that Two and a Half Men will turn dark for a few minutes, when the new season premieres this September, when Alan and Jake learn that Charlie has - you guessed it - kicked the bucket.

CBS and Warner Bros. are making darn sure that Charlie Sheen will never come back to the show. The first show is scheduled to begin taping on August 5, and producers have been kicking around a few scenarios, which include Sheen's character, Charlie Harper driving a car over a cliff.

As for how Ashton Kutcher enters the picture, there's been talk that his character will purchase Charlie's house after Charlie bites the dust.

The first script has not yet been locked, and Lorre often makes changes until very close to taping, but it's pretty clear that Charlie is going to be wiped completely off the show.

As we previously predicted, this whole Charlie-is-dead thing is very predictable for a network like CBS, considering how gut-wrenchingly stupid they are.

Sean Kingston Released from Hospital

After three weeks of being in the hospital, Sean Kingston has finally been released.

"Feeling a LOT better," Kingston tweeted, along with a photo of himself semi-smiling.

"GOD IS GREAT! Thanks for all the prayers and support! Love you ALL!" he added.

The Beautiful Girls singer was rushed to a Miami hospital, last month after a jet-ski crash. He is expected to make a full recovery.

MTV to Re-Cast for 'Jersey Shore' Season 6!

Sources connected with Jersey Shore say MTV will say goodbye to the current cast when season five wraps.

Some big wigs on the show denied this last week, but we're told that MTV wants a fresh cast of characters when they wrap up Season 5, which is scheduled to begin shooting in New Jersey on Monday.

According to rumours, the current cast of the show have demanded too much money, and MTV hopes to find new, cheaper stars.

For fans of the show, don't worry - the show will still be around for another 2 seasons, and as for The Situation, Snooki, JWOWW, and Pauly D - the network has already signed them to spin-offs.

'Jersey Shore' Season 5 Confirmed

Plans are already in motion for a fifth season back in Seaside Heights -- but sources connected with the "Jersey" cast tell TMZ ... Pauly D, Snooki, The Situation and the rest of the gang refused to take part without signing new contracts first.

We're told MTV originally planned to shoot the new season under the terms of the Season 4 contracts -- but lawyers for the cast refused ... so MTV drew up new papers.

We're told the majority of the cast has already re-signed for a bump in salary -- not a HUGE raise, but still significant -- and the rest will sign this week.

The cast is scheduled to fly back from Italy on the 23rd -- and start shooting the new season in Jersey on the 26th. 495 Productions has not returned calls, and MTV had no comment.

'Friday' pulled from YouTube

The FUN, FUN, FUN is officially over - Rebecca Black has officially pulled her Friday video off of YouTube.

A rep for Black tells us, "We can confirm that we submitted a take down notice to YouTube as a result of the dispute we have with Ark Music regarding the Friday music video."

Black's people have threatened legal action against Ark Music, claiming the company that produced and wrote the song is wrongfully exploiting her image and her song, because Ark doesn't own the rights to either.

Earlier this week, Ark pushed up the cost of the music video to $2.99 on iTunes, without Black's consent. Clearly, the move pissed off Black's camp ... a camp that was simply looking forward to the weekend.
"Regarding the $2.99 fee added to [the] Friday video, I have NOTHING to do with this!" Black tweeted on Tuesday, "My manager and lawyer are on this and are going to get to the bottom of this!"

Ark is now hitting back at Black, saying they were "blindsided" by the singer's demand to take the video off of YouTube - and is taking a shot at the singer for not calling them first.

"We're dissapointed, having been in good faith negotiations with Rebecca Black and her representatives for months regarding any open issues," said a rep for Ark, "There’s been an ongoing, open dialogue with our company.  So we were blindsided to get a Take Down Notice -- with no notice -- alleging copyright infringement instead of a call or email from Rebecca’s representatives. We are going to continue to take the high road and work out the complaint as soon as possible."

The Friday video was uploaded in mid-February 2011, and went viral in mid-March. Black filmed a music video for her new song in May, and the Friday video was taken down sometime within the last few days. Her new music video is still yet to be released.

"Jersey Shore" Update

It's been a while sense we've discussed the new season of MTV's Jersey Shore.

The cast of the show has now received a pay raise of $100,000 per episode. (That seems like a little much considering it's a reality show, and all they're really doing is being themselves.) This will be the first season to be filmed outside of the U.S. This season will be filmed in Italy. Filming began on May 13th, 2011 and the fourth season is currently scheduled to premiere on August 4th, 2011 at 10 p.m. on MTV. All cast members will return.

MTV has also reportedly given the green light to a fifth season. For the fifth season, they will reportedly be returning to Jersey.

America's Got Talent... and something else.

America's Got Talent accidentally aired an ad for porn, all because some dumbass forgot to clear his or her (but probably his) browser history.

The promo aired during last Wednesday's episode -- and if you freeze the video just right, you can see YouPorn.com show up as the person types in YouTube.com.

According to our computer experts, the only way YouPorn would have shown up was if someone using the computer had visited the site in the past.

Looks like AGT is a fun place to work.

Watch the video here:

Update: According to a rep for YouPorn, this kind of things happens more often then you'd think, considering the website gets over 12 million hits per day. The site is actually more popular than MySpace. YouPorn is on AlexaRank 81, while MySpace is on AlexaRank 86.

The rep says, "We'd like to thank our friend at NBC for visiting us, and we hope he comes again..."

No details about the sitcom have been revealed, but obviously, Chuck Lorre, CBS, and Warner Bros. are NOT involved.

Selena Gomez has undergone a number of tests for blood pressure issues, since being hospitalized on Thursday.

Gomez was rushed to the hospital on Thursday after taping an appearance on The Tonight Show, when she was complaining of nausea and a severe headache. She was released on Friday, but re-entered on Saturday.

Sources say the 18-year-old star of Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place has undergone a number of tests for blood pressure issues, but so far - doctors haven't been able to determine what's causing the problem.

Weird.

Gomez is scheduled to perform at Santa Monica Place on Monday, and to co-host the 2011 Much Music Video Awards, on Sunday June 19th. It is unknown if these appearances will be cancelled due to Gomez's health issues.

Oh, and she's not pregnant.

"Super 8" Review

Today, we are reviewing the newest Steven Spielberg film to hit theatres, "Super 8".

This science fiction film, directed by J.J. Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg follows the story of a group of kids who are filming a Super 8 movie, when a train de-rails and releases a dangerous alien into their town.

This 112-minute long movie stars Joel Courtney, Elle Fanning, and Kyle Chandler and completely locks our eyes on the screen, with stunning visual effects, amazing acting, a revolutionary plot, and loveable characters. During the epic derail scene, we literally had our mouths hanging open, and we're surprised they could manage to create such an action-packed film with a budget of just $50 million.

You have to see this movie, no question. It's without a doubt the best movie of the year, so far.

RATINGS:
Special Effects: 10/10
Acting: 9.5/10
Storyline: 9.5/10

Overall mark: 9.7

Whatever Happened To Hilary Duff?

So, no one has really heard about Hilary Duff sense about 2006, when she was in Material Girls and we started to wonder, "Whatever happened to her?"

So, we decided to do a little research, and we've learned she'll be back this year in the new movie She Wants Me which follows a neurotic writer working on his new film gets into a tricky situation when an A-list actress shows interest in the role intended for his girlfriend. It's unknown if the film will be a major or minor release.

Hilary also got married to her boyfriend of three years, NHL player Mike Combrie in August 2010. She also starred in Bloodworth a minor release, which was released in February 2010 at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, and was released theatrically on May 20th, 2011. She wrote a book called Elixir a young adult fiction novel

"The Glee Project"

Apparently, Glee is taking on the Next Pussycat Doll reality-type thing, with a new reality show called The Glee Project.

Basically, it's a show that will premiere on June 12th, 2011 on the Oxygen network. The twelve contestants will compete for a role in the third season of Glee, which is set to debut this September on FOX.

I don't really see why anyone would want to be on this show.

Undersea Explorer wants to find Bin Laden's body

Even when he's dead, Osama bin Laden is still the world's most wanted man - or at least, he is to Bill Warren, who is determined to find out once and for all if the terrorist is really dead.

Warren, a treasure hunter and explorer says "the purpose of the excursion is to try to find out if [Osama] is really dead and to provide the world truth that he is... We do this because we are patriotic Americans and feel that President Obama failed to provide the proof. I do not trust my government or Obama."
The underwater search will take place in the North Arabian sea, where a U.S. Navy ship alledgedly dumped bin Laden's body, back in May.

"We intend to locate/recover his body and photograph and video tape him, then do a DNA test on the ship." Warren explains. He tells us he's planning to use several boats and top of the line technology to perform the search, and he's planning to take a film crew along with him to document every minute of the trip.

The operation is expected to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Osama Bin Laden, the man behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks, was killed in Pakistan on May 1st, 2011, and his body was quickly dumped in the sea, as the government knew it would be hard to find a country willing to adopt the body of the terrible man.

More information on the excursion will be published as it becomes available.

'Hangover' Face Tattoo to be digitally altered for DVD

Warner Bros. claims Ed Helms' face tattoo will be digitally altered when "The Hangover 2" goes to DVD -- after the artist who designed the infamous Mike Tyson tat sued the studio for ripping him off.

The studio filed new docs on Monday in their legal battle with S. Victor Whitmill -- who inscribed the tribal face tat on Tyson back in 2003 -- claiming, "Warner Bros. does not intend to make any use of the allegedly infringing tattoo after the film ends its run in the theaters because Warner Bros. will digitally alter the film to substitute a different tattoo on Ed Helms’s face."

As we previously reported, Whitmill sued the studio back in April claiming copyright infringement -- but a judge refused to block the movie's release.

Whitmill has been threatening to take the matter to trial ever since -- but now that Warner Bros. plans to alter the offending ink ... the studio insists a trial won't be necessary.
